Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This policy explains what personal data is collected through this website and the Studio Beatriz Viamonte lesson-management platform, what it is used for, and your rights.

Who processes your data

The data controller is Beatriz Viamonte, trading as Studio Beatriz Viamonte, reachable at dpo@beatrizviamonte.pt.

What data is collected

Contact form: name, email, phone number, preferred format, experience level, availability and goals you provide.

Student area: data needed to manage lessons, bookings, progress journals, surveys and payments as part of the teaching relationship.

What it is used for

To respond to your enquiry and, if you become a student, to organise and follow up on lessons, communications and related billing.

Data is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It stores a functional cookie with your theme preference (light/dark) so the page opens the way you chose; that cookie travels with requests to the server, lasts a year and identifies nobody. The student area and the backoffice also use the cookies needed to keep you signed in.

To understand how many people start and complete a contact request, the site records anonymous, aggregate counts by day and language (for example, "3 requests started in English on the 24th"), with no personal identifier attached.

From your IP address the server derives an approximate country (using the local IP2Location LITE database) solely to keep an aggregate per-country count. The IP itself is not stored and the country is never linked to an individual.

To prevent automated abuse of those records and of the contact form, your IP address is temporarily hashed solely to limit how many requests can be made; it is never stored in plain text or linked to the counts above.

How long data is kept

Contact request data is kept for as long as needed to respond to it. Student data is kept for the duration of the teaching relationship and for the period required by applicable legal obligations (for example, tax records).

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete or request portability of your data, and to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, contact dpo@beatrizviamonte.pt.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese data protection authority (CNPD).
